What You Need for a Great Self-Photography Session

Sometimes you don’t have time to set up a photo shoot, find a photographer, find a location, pack all your gear, and spend hours making greatness. Sometimes you only have a couple of hours and must find the time to make magic. To produce quality photos, it’s important to have quality equipment.
There is no need to spend hundreds of dollars on self-photography gear. You can be economical but yet have top-notch photography equipment. I have bought many different items over the years and have come up with the perfect items that create great images every time. I would like to add that having a top-notch cell phone is imperative. It should be able to capture at least 1080p images. Below are the staples in my setup.
10″ Selfie Ring Light with Tripod Stand
I use this ring light to create a variety of looks and styles. The light is bright, but it comes with a dimmer if you are looking for a sultry type of look. It also comes with a remote you can sync with your phone.
Fujifilm Instax SP-3 Color Mobile Printer
This is an instant printer for your photos. It easily connects to your cell phone and you can print any photo with the app. I love this! I have made so many gifts with this thing. This printer gives you square photos. They come out looking like the old-school Polaroids! It’s awesome!
Auto Face Tracking Tripod
This works wonderfully. This face-tracking tripod will follow you as you are creating video updates and vlogs. It also comes with a remote to sync with your phone so you can take a photo or start the video recording from your starting position.
6.3″ Ring Light with 3 Color Modes
I use this when I am sitting at my desk and am taking headshots. This ring light has a clamp and it is fairly strong. The light is bright and strong. It can be adjusted and dimmed as needed.

This is a game-changer. Having this backdrop stand helps create a world of scenes in only one location. It is easy to setup and can be taken down just as easily. It works with a variety of backdrops.

Oh, how much fun I have with this green screen! I have been on the moon, in space, on a motorcycle, in a Ferris wheel, and so many other places just simply using this.

And this is just for fun… I use this for myself and my loved ones. It creates mini-instant photos! Mini Polaroids!! It has a selfie mirror for ease of use. This Instax mini camera is perfect for taking on a vacation or creating a photo album of memories.
